Job Description

Required Skills

Essential:

Must have 4+ years of Proven experience in database engineering, with a focus on migration
Strong proficiency in MySQL and expertise in SQL query
Experience with designing, implementing, and optimising database
Proven experience with data migration tools and
Understanding of data integrity and the ability to ensure a smooth transition of data from one system to another.
Experienced with MySQL database architecture and migration, including reproducible and automated migration (eg. AWS DMS).

Desired:

Experience with other relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or
Knowledge of NoSQL databases and their respective data
Familiarity with cloud platforms and database services (e.g., AWS, RDS, DMS).
Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for managing and orchestrating the migration
Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
