Job Description

Required Skills

Essential:

  • Must have 4+ years of Proven experience in database engineering, with a focus on migration
  • Strong proficiency in MySQL and expertise in SQL query
  • Experience with designing, implementing, and optimising database
  • Proven experience with data migration tools and
  • Understanding of data integrity and the ability to ensure a smooth transition of data from one system to another.
  • Experienced with MySQL database architecture and migration, including reproducible and automated migration (eg. AWS DMS).

Desired:

  • Experience with other relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases and their respective data
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and database services (e.g., AWS, RDS, DMS).
  • Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for managing and orchestrating the migration
  • Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
