This role involves managing Endeca environments, supporting Forge-based data ingestion pipelines, troubleshooting search and navigation issues, handling production incidents, and ensuring high availability and performance of the search platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Oracle Endeca environments, including MDEX Engines, DGraphs, Forge pipelines, and Assembler APIs.
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize search platform performance across multiple eCommerce websites.
- Troubleshoot search relevance, navigation, faceting, indexing, and product discovery issues.
- Design, support, and maintain Forge-based indexing and ETL pipelines using flat-file data sources.
- Perform Endeca index builds, deployments, rollbacks, and production validations.
- Support Endeca Assembler API integrations with web applications.
- Monitor and tune query performance, indexing performance, and system resource utilization.
- Manage source control and deployment activities using GitLab.
- Troubleshoot caching, routing, and connectivity issues involving Squid Proxy infrastructure.
- Monitor and support batch jobs using Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS/OPC).
- Investigate and resolve production incidents, outages, indexing failures, and performance degradation issues.
- Create and maintain operational documentation, deployment procedures, runbooks, and disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborate with business, merchandising, infrastructure, and development teams to implement search enhancements.
- Participate in 24×7 production support and on-call rotations.
